LEXAN PADDLES

A Lexan paddle will certainly get its point across, it is more painful then the wooden ones, especially on a bare bottom! PLUS it will not break over a human butt!

Extreme Durability

Even though Lexan is lighter than glass, it is much stronger. Lexan can be used in a broad temperature range and offers superior weather resistance.

Highly Transparent

Lexan is able to maintain its optical clarity over the course of many years. As well, it does not yellow with age, proving important for applications such as plane windows or skylights.

Lexan vs. Acrylic

Acrylic’s trade name is Plexiglas. Its generic name is plexiglass, and other trade names include Acrylite and Lucite.

Lexan and acrylic are similar thermoplastics commonly used as alternatives to glass, but they weigh half as much and are much more shatter-resistant than glass. Both materials are transparent, see-through plastics that have similar flexural strengths and are easy to clean.

Compared to Lexan, acrylic offers more light transmission, clarity, and shine. Additionally, acrylic is more resistant to scratches, UV light, and yellowing.

However, protective coatings can help Lexan resist scratching. While Lexan can not be broken easily, that is why they use it in bullet-proof glass, but acrylic can be broken and will break with sharp edges very easily.
